The Ellington Companies are a full-service team, and the leading force among contractors in our class.
Our company was formed by Fred, David, and Matt Ellington in 1994, and has grown from a utility subcontractor into a general contracting firm with a large mechanical fleet, able to provide for all aspects of site development.
Based in Zebulon, North Carolina, we serve clients throughout North Carolina and Virginia. A fixture in the Triangle area, our reputation for excellence has been built on client trust.

Safety is among our highest priorities. We are fully compliant with OSHA standards and recommended safety practices, including personal protective equipment, crew training, trench safety, and confined space entry.
For 6 consecutive years, Ellington Contractors has received the NC Department of Labor Gold Award for outstanding performance in the area of occupational safety and health.

Our personnel work closely with property owners, engineers, and the federal state and local erosion control inspectors to ensure the preservation of important streams and wetlands during construction and prevent costly and time consuming-delays.
Control and containment of waste material are expected from our crews. Inspections are regularly conducted to ensure compliance.
